The Brisbane Broncos are back! Back at the top of the NRL ladder and looking as good as they have in a long time.

At the start of the year, I wondered what sort of difference Wayne Bennett as coach would make to the team. Well, the results speak for themselves. He has made a huge difference.

I always knew he was an amazing coach but what he has done with the Broncos this year is very impressive, even by his standards.

He is doing an impeccable job as coach. The team has a great blend of youth and experience, is very committed in defence and are getting back to their entertaining best with the ball.

I am a regular at Broncos home games and it has the feeling back of the successful Broncos teams of old. There is a real buzz again at the ground and it is great to see.

The Brisbane crowd is 100% behind the team, proud of their massive improvement and excited about what they can achieve this year.

They now look like they can well and truly mix it with the top teams again and are not just there to make up the numbers. So, well done to the super coach Wayne Bennett and the boys and everyone involved with the team.

The only downside to the Broncos success so far this year is it is going to be interesting come State of Origin time when half the team will probably be picked for Queensland.
